I’m Ukrainian and now living in Vancouver, Canada. I always studied English at school, but speaking was my weak point. With Neil’s lessons, I’ve become much more confident and fluent. I currently lead a high-performing 20-member retail sales team in the Czech Republic and I am a top performer in my region. In sales and managment, effective communication is key for connecting with clients, making sales, and leading my team.
I have also presented at conferences and I spend a lot of time in the USA talking with native speakers.
Before I met Neil, I was already fairly comfortable with technical vocabulary and grammar, and my pronunciation was admittedly pretty good, but sometimes native speakers would still ask me "where are you from?". I wanted to make that a thing of the past, so Neil and I have been working together on natural conversations, native accent, and using local phrases. He has helped me to feel more confident and sound more fluent like a true native speaker.
After over a year taking lessons, and meeting up in-person, I consider Neil not only a good mentor, but a good friend. I highly recommend working with him to build your confidence and to grow professionally.
