I'm probably different from your 'average' language teacher and different from your 'average' engineer -- and I think that's kind of cool.
I'm passionate about connecting with people, making complicated stuff easier, and opening new doors for anyone who wants the opportunity.
You want to communicate better and I can help.
Here's a little bit about me and why we could be great working together.
Everyone always says that "Communication is key."
However, I don't think people quite understand quite how important it is -- in any language.
We need to use language every day to tell stories, ask questions, express opinions, share information, and generally connect with others.
I love to help share tips and strategies that can help people to build confidence, achieve goals, and improve their lives.

A Canadian who grew up in scenic small towns on Vancouver Island, Bitish Columbia surrounded by nature. Montréal was where I was born and went to university, and I worked for years in Alberta, but the west coast will always feel like my Canadian home. I lived in Canada for 27 years before moving abroad around the world.
Going back many years to the Canadian high school years of with favourite subjects like physics, math, calculus, and French, I was recognized as the school's top student. That was a great time, but a while back.
More recently, I got my Bachelor of Engineering at McGill University. My major was Civil Engineering and launched my career in the engineering industry.
I've also earned a Language Teaching Certificate designed by CELTA and DipTESOL and I have been recognized as a Professional Tutor.
My education and background are in Engineering. I have engineering experience in civil engineering, transportation, petroleum field engineering, and construction. I've worked with engineering teams developing transportation planning models, maintaining the TransCanada Highway through the Rocky Mountains, monitoring hydrology, optimizing gas production, constructing infrastructure, preparing designs, and many more projects.
I understand the fast-paced world of consulting engineering, sales, running organizations, and managing professional business.
The world is your oyster. For the last few years, I've been living around the world -- Argentina, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and exploring many amazing travel destinations in between.
I've seen some incredible places, met interesting people, and learned a ton about cultures and communication.
You'll usually find me traveling the globe, climbing up a mountain, wandering though a forest, skiing down a mountain, or diving into a freezing cold lake. The outdoors is where I'm happiest, either exploring, relaxing, or trying to capture photos of the scenery.
Music is another passion. After learning some basics as a kid, I've taught myself a lot and have gotten half decent at the drums, guitar, and piano.
Simplicity. Patterns. Relax.
We all overthink things and make it more complicated than necessary. I overthink things too. Luckily, I've also thought a lot about English and effective communication in detail, so you don't have to! I'll help you to "engineer" English.
Recognize patterns. Know what to focus on. Realize what's not worth worrying about (yet). Have some fun talking!
We'll focus on the 20% of English communication that gives you 80% of your results. But, how do we know what that 20% is? That's what I do. So let's do it!
